Thats the new normal, enjoy the 2 steps it takes to get to to notifications as opposed to one. Also, the glitch is normal too is seams, click your icon then notifications again.

Couple this with the fact that you can’t see what comment your notification is about since they changed the URL to show just numbers instead and you save even MORE time!
